I was hanging out at the third bolt for these shots, anchored in and self belayed/locked in for safety shooting with Alicia’s Nikon. Only wish I had a longer reach than the 17-35mm although the wide was nice.

hard day of climbing @ malibu creek
I led my second 5.9, but didn’t onsight it. It was pumpy, diagonaly, slighty over hungish with a massive bulge below the 3rd bolt (of course right?)
I followed it first, then TR’ed it to clip in my PASS and lock off the rope on a grigri so I could take photos of others on two adjecent routes. First time I tried that and man it got uncomfortable quick. Not sure if it was how I clipped in or my harness or what but I hung for about 15-20 minutes. It wasn’t even my camera because I forgot to bring it.
I also worked another 5.9 and flailed on a 5.10c that was pretty wicked (completely overhanging and sequential) that I was able to finish. I threw for one hold and hurt my left elbow when I over shot it and pulled it. Then I slipped off.
Today I am sore, particularly my left arm.
