I really don’t like this comparison but whenever I see stuff like the above images and this:
I think of the way many Nazis and Germans treated the Jews:
It was common to engage in acts that were intended to humiliate Jews, which is what the Jewish boys look like they’re doing in the first photograph. It’s rather haunting how in some ways history repeats itself over and over again.
