mimis on Flickr.
i sleep on a bed full of clothes, sometimes dirty, sometimes clean, sometimes used, sometimes unused, books, cables, blankets, body pillows (that i hug and put between my knobby knees).
sometimes i push it away, sometimes i sleep right on it until some stiff cold protruding object makes me uncomfortable, sometimes becoming of my dreams, other times saving me from nightmares.
mimis - is a mexican term, for baby’s sleeping. like making sleep, sleepy time, mimis reminds me of where i come from when all sort of white folk on the internet ask me, what does “mimis” mean?
i just made mimis - now i’m late for work. ciao!

exposure on Flickr.
my friend tells me that exposure is the thrill which is rated by how exposed you are to pure death while climbing. exposure is when there is nothing between you and the ground, he tells me, when you are 2,500 feet up the side of a sheer rock with nothing but a rope holding your life, that’s exposure.
much like the exposure you get when you open yourself up to someone, when you remove the layers and the masks and you let someone into your world, into your heart, once you got the exposure, there’s no turning back. like the fire that you yearn for, the passion that draws you, the exposure you receive may burn you, but you can’t resist getting closer or coming back.
clevis is awesome.
